Rykk tilbake til start
January 17 - February 24, 2008

Participating in the groupshow Rykk tilbake til start! (trans. Return to Start!) are 92 artists, writers and designers who will fill the gallery with altering exhibitions during the next six weeks.
0047 OSLO has invited curator Jan Christensen to make a sequel to the success Flicker!, a groupshow he curated at Projekt 0047 in Berlin in 2005; but this time the show has a Norwegian focus and five times as many contributors. Just as in Berlin, the idea is that everything happens in a high speed, focusing on fast rotation of exhibitions within the duration of the project.
Rykk tilbake til start! is divided into six different shows, each open to the public for four days. Firmly established names as well as fresh-out-of-school artists are represented, and together with writers and designers they make a surprising combination of expressions. With keywords such as experiment, process, speed and quantity, Christensen has encouraged the participants to show their sources of inspiration, sketches, shelved projects, prototypes and new ideas - everything but finished, polished projects made for the white cube.
This series of exhibitions will turn into one long experiment that, in combination with the short exhibition period for each show, will create a dynamic that is hard to find in the traditional exhibition structure.
0047 Oslo wishes to invite the public to experience an exhibition that focuses
on experiments and exploration. The title, Rykk tilbake til start! plays
on the most frustrating punishment in the Monopoly game - in this case,
it's a challenge to rethink, once again.
