A wall made of luminous colors, covered in red, green and blue neonlights, a series of beautiful yet disturbing portraits; gigantic tusks made out of plaster; a moon moving slowly over the dark sky. This and more is what will be show at the masters of fine art degree show from the Trondheim art academy.
0047 presents the seven master students in the exhibition Heartbeat. The title of the show is both a reference to popular culture, and is also a metaphor for art and arts importance in society. Most of these new artists already think art is essential, but at the same time they are aware of their role in the professional reality they are now entering. Has the artworld become too superficial and professionalized? These questions are important to the students at Trondheim art academy and come to the surface in this exhibition.
The Master course is a two year course following a three year bachelor degree. In their mastersprojects, the students have made use of diverse methods and techniques to develop their projects.
